After issuing a public warning to the owners of over 300 illegal buildings in the city, the LDA has forwarded the list containing their names for appropriate action to both the power corporation and the Jal Sansthan. In his May 23 letter to BB Singh, managing director Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited and RK Tripathi general manager Jal Sansthan, LDA Vice Chairman BB Singh has urged them to snap the power connection and water supply to these structures.

Citing an order passed by the High Court on a Public Interest Litigation in this connection, the LDA VC said that the owners of these constructions have already been warned through advertisements in newspapers on January 3, May 13 and 14, 2006. But already there seems to be some sort of a mix-up over the number of structures in the hit list provided by the LDA.
