IRNA, the official news agency, however did not elaborate what lessons he was alluding to.

"Today, enemies are telling lies about their opposition to nuclear weapons and support for human rights.

They are against Iran's peaceful nuclear programme under such pretexts," Ahmadinejad said while meeting families of martyrs and war veterans in Khuzestan province.

He said "enemies" - a clear reference to the West - was striving to force Iran to retreat from its inalienable and legal right to produce nuclear weapons.

"Enemies made efforts to urge the Iranian people to accept suspension of peaceful nuclear activities.

They spoke of economic sanctions and military threats when faced with our resistance.

They finally passed an anti-Iran resolution and prevented certain countries form cooperating with Iran on nuclear fields," the president thundered.
