Describing George W Bush as "the ugly face of the most aggressive imperialism in the world", CPI General Secretary AB Bardhan on Sunday said the Left parties would hold massive demonstrations against the US President when he visits India in the first week of March.

"We have called for massive demonstrations on March 2 in Delhi, the day his visit starts and March 3 in Hyderabad where he is going", Bardhan said, adding that some other political parties and regional outfits would also join them.

"What else does he (Bush) talk about excepting attacking this country...Keeping that country. Who has given him powers to act as world general ?", he commented.

Accusing the US President of seeking to impose democracy by force, Bardhan asked: "Can democracy ever be exported by force?".

"We (Left parties) think that all these have to be fought and countered," he added.

"I am quite sure that even if it's referred to the Security Council, Russia and China will never vote for sanctions or war or an attack of any kind against Iran".
