Last week, it was announced that Playboy will soon be launching in the Philippines. As this largely Catholic country gets ready to embrace a magazine notorious for its raunchy content, we list some other ‘adult’ developments.

Umbrella: That’s the title of a recent Rihanna hip-hop hit, which MAD TV has ingeniously spiced up with Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton impersonators. With the former in chequered boxers and the latter in ladylike whites, she goes: “He’s my boy, I am his girl. We may have differed on Iraq, but no one’s stiffer in the sack. I can’t lie — that’s why I wanna be under Barack Obama, bama, bama, ay, ay, ay.”

Kiss kiss kiss: Closer home, the more lustful of YouTubers have been hard at work to helpfully clip out “hot” scenes from both blockbusters and B-flicks. Sadistic sorts have put up rape scenes starring Gulshan Grover, Tina Munim et al. The more romantically inclined have, for example, set the now famous Dhoom 2 kiss between Aishwarya and Hrithik to the sounds of Etta James, Depeche Mode and so on. But as for Playboy, India is still refusing to let it in.

No No No: But it’s still tough going for statesmen who get caught in A-rated yarns. With the New York governor’s scandalous exit after being caught with a prostitute still making headlines, this week it was the turn of Finland’s foreign minister Ilkka Kanerva to hand in his papers after sending over 200 text messages to some dancer.
