A new pillow now allows students to hear pre-recorded lectures and class notes even as they sleep! Named ‘Sound Asleep’, this £20-‘pillow’ has a speaker buried inside its fibres and can be linked to any MP3 or CD player. What’s more, research also suggests that this way students will remember at least some of the things that they hear throughout the night when they wake.

We asked students if such a device may actually help them. “That’s sounds cool if I don’t have to be awake and still study,” says IP University student Pritam Lal. But others are not too excited about the concept. “I don’t think it’s a good idea, how can we study when we are sleeping?” asks DU student Aakansha Gupta.

The device, received with mixed reactions from students may help tinnitus sufferers, who may find it easier to sleep with background noise.
