After three days of rain fury, life in the metropolis is slowly getting back on tracks with improvement in weather conditions since Monday night, even as the toll due to heavy rains in the city rose to 429.
The cloud cover over Mumbai region has begun to decrease but the gusty winds will continue to blow at about 50 km per hour, the Meteorological office said.

Till 8.30 am, the rainfall recorded in Colaba was 86.8 mm while Santa Cruz recorded 149.5 mm, it added.

The suburban rail services were today restored on Central, Harbour and Western Railway sections. While trains on the Harbour line trains are plying from CST to Andheri and Panvel, the Central Railway is running services up to Kalyan, officials said.
