NATIONAL PRESIDENT of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) and Union Minister for Chemical and Fertiliser, Ram Vilas Paswan, spelt out his party’s election manifesto for the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh and said that the election result would lead to a hung Assembly in UP.
“The coalition between VP Singh led Jan Morcha and LJP is going to give a severe jolt to the Samajwadi Party (SP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) in the forthcoming Assembly election in UP,” he told mediapersons here on Saturday.
“Congress should join Jan Morcha-LJP alliance for UP Assembly election as Congress is against SP, BSP and BJP,” he said. “I have already advised Congress chief Sonia Gandhi in this regard.”
“Now, it is upto the Congress whether to join Jan Morcha-LJP alliance or not?” the Union Minister expressed his view.
Paswan said that the political graph of BJP, SP and BSP would decline in the forthcoming Assembly polls in UP and no political party would obtain full majority to form a government. Paswan is on a tour to address a series of public meetings in different districts of Uttar Pradesh. He predicted that if the Congress will join Jan Morcha-LJP led coalition, it will come into power in the State after the forthcoming Assembly election.
Speaking about LJP’s election manifesto, Paswan said, “If LJP comes to power in UP, his party will make health cards compulsory for the UP-ites and ensure fixed deposit of Rs 2000 to 5000 for girls which will be handed over to them when they reach the age of 20.”

{{/usCountry}}“LJP will also ensure interest-free loans of Rs 10,000 to 25,000 for weavers, rickshaw pullers and people of the weaker section in which loan seekers will not have to submit any security and the interest of loan will be paid by the government,” he said.
About the plans of his ministry, the Union Minister said that his ministry was contemplating to introduce Health Insurance scheme for Below Poverty Line (BPL) families in which they will be provided free medicines and free treatment.
“Under this scheme, the Central government will bear the amount of insurance to the insurance companies’, he said and added that a sum of Rs 3,000 crore would be spent by the Central government in this proposed scheme.
