A chariot carrying idols of Lord Jagannath, Maan Subhadra and Lord Balbhadra was taken through various parts of the town.

The yatra was organised by the Gauriya Math, Dangri, in collaboration with the locals every year. This is one of the biggest yatras of Lord Jagannath as it covers a distance of 21 km from Hamirpur. Devotees travelled on foot from Hamirpur to Dangri singing religious songs.

The yatra was delayed by more than two hours in the morning hours as it rained heavily in the
town and its nearby areas.

Former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal was the chief guest on the occasion. He flagged off the yatra and also took part in it from the local Shiva temple to Hospital Chowk.Devotees had arranged for sweet water, fruits and other items for the yatris. A feast was also organised at Dangri.
