Readers who are at this moment in pain and distress because of love, may I ask you why you are suffering? Exactly what is the reason for your pain and distress? Is it because you have given love? Or can it be that you have been expecting something in return? True love expects nothing in return. True love is a love that gives, an act of just giving unconditionally. The love that you give does not originally belong to you; it comes to you from god. In order to return this love to god, it is necessary for us to love other people.

Does your pain and distress stem from the fact that although you love a person, you feel that your love is not being returned, that the person does not love you? It is when we feel that people do not love us as much as we think they should, that the opportunity provided by love causes us suffering. But we should not look to other people for a return on our love, but to god. But what is it that god gives us in return for our love? The more we love other people, the closer we, as people, become to god. That is what he offers us. Let us look at what we know about god. God is like the light of the sun, pouring infinite love and grace on all living creatures without asking anything in return. The life of each one of us embodies an energy that god has provided without a price.

Give wisely. The simple donation of material goods can hardly be considered real giving. If it simply satisfies our desire to appear charitable, it is not giving at all. True giving is the path to true caring and fostering, and wisdom is essential to proper nurturing of this kind. That is why we must live a life of giving with wisdom and with courage. We must be prepared to give love without expecting anything in return.

Love knows no enemies. Love is invincible. Love is like a vast river, a river that flows from an infinitely wide source to an infinitely distant end. No one can fight against the power of the river. It gives all and has the power to wash everything away. No evil exists in this world that has the strength to fight forever against the power of love.
