The 15th Lok Sabha has a perfect blend of youth and experience and the young MPs have a great opportunity to learn, Deputy Speaker Karia Munda said in Ranchi on Friday.
"About 60-70 per cent of the members are aged under-50. The combination of youth and experience would definitely give scope for constructive deliberations in Parliament, Munda told a press conference in Ranchi.
Munda, who was given a rousing welcome in Ranchi by party BJP for his elevation to the post, said he was optimistic about smooth functioning of the Lok Sabha.
"Almost all of those who used to rush to the well and raised din without any reason in the previous house has lost this time," he said.
He also lauded former speaker Somnath Chatterjee for his contribution to the House and said he would work for development within his constitutional rights.
