THE NEW General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Command, Lt Gen OP Nandrajog reviewed a guard of honour at the 11th Gorkha Rifles Regimental Centre (11GRRC) in the Cantonment here on Monday.
The 11th Battalion Brigade of the Guards had the privilege of providing the guard of honour. Lt Gen Nandrajog, besides being the Army Commander, is also the Colonel of the Regiment of the ‘Brigade of The Guard’.
Capt PC Sirswal commanded the contingent and the colours were carried by Lt P Varma.
Lt Gen Nandrajog extended new year greetings to all the officers, other ranks and their families. He expressed confidence that close cooperation from all quarters would be extended during his tenure. He also paid homage to martyrs by laying a wreath at ‘Smritika’, the Central Command War Memorial. These were his first official engagements after assuming command of the Central Command on promotion.
