“There aren’t as many seeking a clean-shaven scalp as those asking for a minimal crop. And most of them want the long locks to be styled in the fashion of John Abraham, Hrithik, or Dhoni,” says Jitendra Sharma, hair-dresser at Body Care’s saloon for men. And for once, the long strands are not being tied into a pony tail.

“We tell them point blank if we feel the long-haired look would not suit them,” says his colleague, Mohan Dabral, adding that long hair demands greater care and oiling is hardly the solution. “Oil is good only for the root of your hair.

Otherwise, it is just something that attracts dust and grime,” he advises.

As for the baldies, it is more a concern to save the receding hairline than inspiration from the football sensation who shooed away glory with a head-butt.
“Rainy season is just the right time to get your head tonsured as it promotes hair growth and strengthens the roots of the follicles,” says another hair-stylist Arif.

So guys, what’s gone to your head?
