Lupin Ltd on Monday reported a 80.36 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 44.19 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 24.50 crore for the same quarter in previous quarter.

Total income (net of excise) has increased 49.35 per cent to Rs 436.51 crore for the third quarter in current fiscal from Rs 292.26 crore in the year-ago period, the pharma company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The board has also approved investment of Rs 26 crore for setting-up of a greenfield finished dosage facility at Jammu.
