Director general of police (DGP) Surendra Sinh has ordered a CID inquiry into the Guna incident, wherein policemen who rushed to a road accident site allegedly robbed the people who had died and were injured in the accident.
The DGP’s decision came on Tuesday after home minister took the initiative following media reports and sent a note-sheet to DGP, asking him to conduct an inquiry and take action immediately.
Talking to media persons, Surendra Sinh said he had instructed additional director general of police (ADG) Crime Investigation Department (CID) to conduct an inquiry and submit the report.
On October 22, a real estate businessman of Mhow town of Indore, Rajesh Mishra, along with eight members of his family, was coming to Mhow from his native place in Pratapgarh district of UP.
They met with an accident under Guna Cant police station in Guna district. Five persons had died on the spot, while four of them sustained serious injuries.
The deceased were identified as Rohan, Ramesh, Bhagwati Prasad, Asha and one more person.

{{/usCountry}}The injured, including wife of Rajesh Mishra, Seema Mishra, had told the local media persons that the policemen robbed cash and jewellery from the deceased and injured before taking them to the hospital. She also alleged the policemen reached the spot about one hour late. Had they reached the spot on time, the family could have been saved, she had said.
When asked about alleged involvement of policemen, DGP Surendra Sinh however refused to comment.
