Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan is scheduled to leave for the United States on Saturday to study infrastructure and transport system.

A high-level panel senior officials would be accompanying Chavan on the tour to understand civic planning, low cost housing, development of airports and speedy transportation, a release from the CMO said.

Chavan would also be visiting Singapore and Malaysia to understand process of desalination of water and mode of transportation there, the release said.
