Prakash Mahajan, younger brother of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, on Thursday attacked party leader Sushma Swaraj over her statements regarding Rahul Mahajan drug episode.
"Sushma said that Rahul Mahajan episode is a family matter. She herself is a mother and should have understood the anguish of Rahul's mother that is my sister-in-law Rekha Mahajan," Prakash, who was appointed chief organiser of Maharahstra Navnirman Sena, told reporters.
"Sushma did not even visit Rahul at the hospital," Prakash said.
Asked if recent developments in BJP and that party leaders' stance on the Rahul Mahajan issue, led him to join Maharashtra Navnirman Sena floated by Raj Thakaray, Prakash said the two developments were not related.
Prakash insisted that Rahul was 'innocent' and alleged that there was a conspiracy behind the episode.
