"I am open to contesting the election and the talks in this regard are on," he told media persons on Friday.

Son of Mahatma Gandhi's youngest son Devdas Gandhi, Rajmohan Gandhi has several books to his credit including Mahatma Gandhi's biography Mohandas.

After joining AAP, he said, "I joined the party looking at the enthusiasm about it on the ground. The party has grown from the roots."

Criticising both the Congress and BJP he said while Congress had become the party of special few, BJP was the party of the rich.

Asked if could contest against BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, he said it was a long shot for now. "I am open to contesting against anyone but it would be a long shot to say that I would contest against Modi," he said.

Sources in the party say he could be fielded either from Delhi or Mumbai.
