After failing to draw a love match with tennis ace Leander Paes, Mahima Chaudhary will now try to give Bollywood item girls a run for their money in her forthcoming film Dobara.

While her hot Latino number is currently the talk of tinseltown, Mahima denies getting down and dirty for success. "I have tried to look sexy and raunchy for this sequence in Dobara but that doesn't mean my comeback is all about titillation and exposure. I have other films like Star lined up in which I have very challenging roles. I am certainly not banking on exposure alone!" she says.
Songs, insists the Pardes girl, are an important part of Dobara's narrative. According to her: "Dobara is an intensely emotional film and I am cast opposite Jackie Shroff. My other co-star is Raveena Tandon. The item number is there for a purpose and is vital to the story. I was told to learn a bit of Latino dancing because the choreography would be very different from anything seen on the Indian screen so far."
