A major fire broke out in the busy Priyadarshini market complex in the Nayapalli area in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday evening, Fire Brigade sources said.

More than six fire tenders had been pressed into service to fight the blaze which engulfed two floors of the building during the peak hour, the sources said.

Whether there was any casualty or not was not immediately known. Senior police and fire brigade officials had rushed to the spot to supervise the fire fighting operation, the sources said.
