Major shake-up in NN administration

TAKING AN initiative to bring changes in the functioning of Nagar Nigam, the newly appointed Municipal Commissioner Satya Narayan Srivastava has divided the NN work in five zones with immediate affect.

He has appointed incharge in each zone. Lukerganj Zonal office comprising Ward No 1 to 10 will be looked after by NN Legal Adviser Shiv Lakhan Yadav, Muthiganj Ward No 11-20 by Joint Municipal Commissioner Deepak Krishna Sihana, Katra Ward No 21 to 30 by Assistant Municipal Commissioner KD Singh, Allahapur Ward No 31 to 38 by Joint Municipal Commissioner Vijay Singh and Naini Ward No 39 to 40 by Assistant Municipal Commissioner Girish Ojha.

It may be mentioned that a month ago several employees were shifted from one department to another that caused NN functioning badly.

As a result, as many as 30 clerical staff including of accounts have been appointed in a fresh manner, said Satya Narayan Srivastava.

Besides, senior officers like Additional Municipal Commissioner GN Shukla has been asked to look after the work of the administration, electricity, legal, audit, complaint cell besides the work of nodal officer JNNURM.

Joint Municipal Commissioner Deepak Krishna Sihana has been made incharge establishment, tax, assessment, nazul, tahbazari etc.

Encroachment and stores have been given to KD Singh while Shrish Chandra has been asked to look after the livestock department and parks . Dr Arun Kumar will look after health store, health, workshop and nodal officer of solid waste management.
