The number has already touched 526 and still there are many patients pouring in the city hospitals.

Residents feel that this is a regular phenomenon. This year is not an exception. Many patients are in hospitals struggling for life, but the authorities are least bothered about it.

They said that for the past two months, the health department has been assuring of planning strategies to tackle problem but fresh cases are coming up every day.

"I don’t think that administration is doing anything. All that they are planning to do now, like fogging or creating awareness among masses, should have been done well in time. Now when so many people have lost their lives and many are suffering, it would be of no use,” said YM Gupta, president of Sushant Lok (2 and 3), RWA.
