In the first season of Koffee With Karan, Mallika Sherawat hadn’t appeared on the show, but was certainly discussed in many of the episodes.
Since Sanjay Leela Bhansali had spoken highly about her the last time around, Karan Johar chose to bring them together for the second edition of Koffee. It’s believed that Sherawat was sporting enough to tell Karan and Sanjay that they had a lot of fun on her expense during the first season.
And they retorted, “Since you entertained us a lot then, it’s really sporting of you to come on the show for this conversation.”
In the course of the conversation, when asked about which song she would have rather done, Aishwarya Rai’s Kajra re, Bipasha Basu’s Beedi jalaayi le or Kareena Kapoor’s Yeh mera dil, Sherawat chose Yeh mera dil.
“I think I could have done a lot more in a song like that,” she is said to have retorted.
The only time Sherawat could be said to be politically correct was during the rapid fire round. “She didn’t answer two questions. But Karan and Sanjay were extremely impressed with her intelligence.
“By the end of the show, Mallika became quite friendly with the directors.
Then Sanjay told her to tone down her boldness a little. Karan also thanked Mallika for answering his calls’,” our informer said.
