A Vadodara court has on Monday asked the police to look into the matter. First Class Judicial Magistrate DB Vaidya has admitted a criminal complaint, filed by advocate Narendra Tiwari, president of the Vadodara Bar Association, on the case and asked the police to report to the court within 30 days.

Tiwari told Hindustan Times on Monday that he had filed the complaint under the Immoral Trafficking Act and Indecent Representation of Women Act.

He further said that Mallika’s dance number, for which she was paid Rs 50 lakh, had hurt the sentiments of the people in Vadodara and wherever the programme was telecast.

“We want to prove that how-so-ever big the actor may be, Indians will not tolerate such insult to womanhood”, Tiwari said.
