The actress posted on Twitter, “Been having to take ‘accent elimination’ classes, to sound more American in new film.” When asked by a fan to elaborate, she replied, “I’m under confidentialty for now, but that’s why I’m taking hip-hop dance classes.”

Mallika is slated to start working on a film that will see her portraying a character inspired by San Francisco Attorney General Kamala Harris. The actress, with over 6,000 followers on Twitter, shall soon be visiting Twitter’s San Francisco office today — a first for any Indian celebrity.
