GREAT SURROUNDING, latest products, prices that don’t burn a hole in the pocket, tempting offers besides foolproof security. This is the story of the mall culture in the city that is becoming a rage.

A decade back, one had to head to different stores for buying products. But now times are changing and with that, Kanpurites too have shed their old purchasing habits.
Pratiksha Singh, a housewife, said, “Shopping in a mall not only saves on time but minimizes the workload. Besides, it is an altogether new experience.”
Kavita Sharma, a sales executive in a multinational bank, said, “Due to excess workload, I find it difficult to take out time for shopping, but with malls, I save on time. Then, one gets affordable prices. Apart from products of daily use, malls offer branded clothes and accessories. No wonder, getting everything under one roof in an air-conditioned ambience is an added bonanza.”
Pradeep Kumar, general manager of a private company, said, “Now, I walk into a branded store in a shopping mall and believe me, my shopping is over in a jiffy.”
Nikky Gupta, studying in class 11, said, “It is a one-stop junction for me to flaunt the latest style statement.”
