Man gets 12 yrs for raping minor

A Sonepat court on Saturday awarded 12 years imprisonment to a man for raping a Class 9 girl in December 2012. The convict has been identified as Vijay Kumar, a resident of Bhatgaon village of Sonepat district.

The convict has been identified as Vijay Kumar, a resident of Bhatgaon village of Sonepat district.
According to details, Kumar with two other minors had abducted a girl from outside her house on December, 27, 2012, from Kalupur Chungi in Sonepat. The trio bundled the victim in a car and committed the crime after taking her to a deserted place.

The matter came to fore when the victim narrated the incident to her family. Cases against the minors are running in juvenile court.
