POLICE ARRESTED a scrap dealer who allegedly tried to rape a minor girl in Mandideep on Friday. According to police, Anup Rao (47), deals with scrap in Patel Nagar area.
He tried to rape an 11-year-old girl who came to his shop to sell empty bottles this evening. Victim’s father Awadhnarayan Chandel reported the matter to the police. Police have registered a case against the culprit under Section 354 of IPC.
CM to be accorded grand welcome
CHIEF MINISTER Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be given a historic welcome on his maiden visit to Raisen on January 8 after he took over the reign of the State. BJP Mandal secretary Arvind Jain gave this information on Friday.
PHE Minister Thakur Rampal Singh would reach Mandideep on January 7 to take stock of the preparations, Jain added.
