Man kills mother for objecting to drinking

Police have arrested a 25-year-old man on the charges of beating his mother to death at Bharat colony of Jind district on Friday. The accused has been identified as Sonu Kumar.

According to details, Kumar's mother Santosh Devi (victim) used to snub him for drinking alcohol. On Thursday, when Kumar's mother prevented him from drinking at home, he became angry following which he attacked his mother with a bamboo.

He attacked so fiercely that the victim died on the spot. On the basis of the complaint of Bahadur Singh, father of the accused, police have registered a case against the accused and arrested him.
