They received a call around 11.30 pm on Thursday from Nayagaon. “Villagers identified the victims as Sulekha, 28, and Roop Ram, 35,” said Ramsen Singh, station officer, Noida phase II police station. “The woman’s throat had been slit, while the man bore multiple stab wounds in his abdomen,” said Singh. They were rushed to the district hospital. While Sulekha died on the way, Roop Ram succumbed died around 1 am.

Investigations revealed that the couple had been staying in a rented accommodation and Ram, a close friend of Raman, would visit them often. Both the men worked in a factory.
