After the death of Chitrasagar Maharaj, a discourse programme was held at the hall. Bhutbali Sagar Maharaj shared his experiences with Chitrasagar Maharaj during the Santhara.

Chitrasagar Maharaj’s sons Rajendra Jain and Lalit Jain, family and community members considered the occasion as ‘Mrityu Mahotsava’.

When asked if he was sad about his father’s death, Lalit Jain said, “not at all”. “Chitrasagar Maharaj attained the moksha and we are happy about it. We are going to celebrate Diwali too.”

The community members gathered at hall and offered coconut as a mark of respect to Chitrasagar Maharaj. The body was made to sit in position of Aasan. After the discourse programme, the body was taken in a ‘dola’ (palanquin) decorated with artificial ribbons and glaze paper. The funeral procession was led by a music band.

During the Santhara, the district administration officials were not seen. Asked if action would be taken, ADM Rameshwar Gupta said that the administration was seeking a legal opinion in this regard.
