Man tortured, too scared to lodge FIR

A 24-year-old man was allegedly abducted by five unidentified policemen, subjected to extreme physical and mental torture and dumped at a south Delhi jungle.

A 24-year-old man was allegedly abducted by five unidentified policemen, subjected to extreme physical and mental torture and dumped at a south Delhi jungle.

According to the victim, the abductors assaulted him so brutally that he was paralysed waist down. They also gave him electric shocks, he said. He also claimed that two more youths, who were also abducted by the same group of men, were subjected to the same degree of torture at a godown located somewhere on the Delhi-Haryana border.

The incident took place on June 26, and the victim has been identified as Mohammad Parvez, a resident of Hauz Rani in south Delhi.

Parvez underwent treatment at AIIMS and is now recuperating at his house after, being discharged from the hospital.

Parvez's family, who believes that the abductors were policemen, has decided not to pursue the matter with the police.
