Kishore Ingle, the man who had alleged that the police were conducting a shoddy probe into the death of the seven-year-old girl whose body was found in Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nitin Gadkari’s car last month, was arrested on Thursday evening.

He was granted bail on Friday.
“Ingle was booked for extortion,” said Senior Police Inspector Ramchandra Katole.
Last week, Gadkari had told the Assembly that Ingle had demanded money to “settle the case”.
“I was dragged into the case since I exposed the police and sought justice for the poor girl’s family,” claimed Ingle.
