Manav Gangwani's show was off to a spanking start when the entire audience was wowed by the sight of Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash casually taking a turn on the ramp, both of whom were wearing shirts that said Sarod Rocks.

After a sudden and pleasing beginning as this one, Manav revealed his range of bright and vibrant outfits, beginning with summery outfits in lovely banana-boat-republic shades of lime-green, yellow and orange and shifting to fuchsia, turquoise, mauve before finally ending with darker hues of reds, blues, blacks and purples.

If you think the colours were mind-boggling, let us assure you that the fabrics used were restricted to mostly georgettes and lycra even though their guises were vastly varied with churidaars, frocks, suits, capes, skirts and saris.

Finally, one actually got to see some ethnic outfits – churidaars, suits and saris – and picked out as they were in vibrant colours and bold prints. The effect was stunning, to say the least, especially since the blouses of the saris were gorgeously done with gota and sequins, and in one case, in crystal-mesh.

Spectacular stunners included an utterly sexy Little Black Dress in nalki and the black and gold ensemble comprising of a sexy top and a gypsy skirt. Of course, the Bangash brothers bringing the show to an end by flashing their Sarod Rocks shirts also qualified for the epithet.
