Delhi bowed out of the Vijay Hazare trophy on a high note, beating Services by 113 runs at the Teri Oval ground on Thursday. Chasing a 312-run target set by Delhi, Services lost all their wickets for 198 runs.
Opener Sumit Singh (46), skipper Yashpal Singh (41) and Vishnu Tiwari (44) made good starts but failed to consolidate with spinner Vikas Mishra removing Yashpal and Tiwari, while Sumit was adjudged leg-before off Rajat Bhatia.
But it was medium-pacer Parvesh Ajit Chikara who was the pick of the Delhi bowlers. He troubled the opposition with his in-swingers and picked up four wickets for 19 runs in the eight overs he bowled. Mishra, Pawan Suyal and Bhatia picked up two wickets each.
Earlier, riding on Mithun Manhas's 148, Delhi posted 311. Manhas stitched together a brilliant inning with the help of 10 boundaries and a six. At the fag end of his innings, he required a runner (Shikhar Dhawan). Dhawan, who had scored an 155 not out in the last game against Haryana, was dismissed on 32, while Bhatia contributed 56.
Commenting on Delhi's performance, coach Vijay Dahiya said, "It is disappointing that we could not make it to the knockout stage but this win has brought us a lot of hope. We have seen some potential players who we can work upon. I am happy with all the debutants."

Hosts Haryana finished on top with 18 points, beating Jammu and Kashmir by 208 runs in their last match. Batting first, Haryana opener Rahul Dewan (131 n.o.) and Nitin Saini (105) helped Haryana score 312 for 4.
