After a Manipuri student died under mysterious circumstances last month, another student from the state committed suicide in his hostel room in Bangalore on Thursday night.

Jackio Heisnam (23), a third year student of mechanical engineering in a college here took the step following an argument with his girlfriend, police said. In the course of the argument, Heisnam picked up a wire and twisted it around his neck and hung himself from the fan in front of the girl, police said.

She rushed Heisnam to a hospital where he was declared brought dead. Investigation in the case is on, police said.
