MANIT maths course ends

THE FIVE -DAY Short Term Course on ‘Mathematical models and methods in engineering’ organised by Department of Mathematics of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) concluded today.

The course was conducted under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Project (TEQUIP) of World Bank. The Chief Guest on the occasion was former Vice Chancellor of Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Dr VP Saxena.

He praised the effort of the Director in introducing new courses, especially post-graduate programmes in Applied Sciences from the forthcoming session. The function was presided over by MANIT Director Dr KS Pandey, who appreciated the efforts of course co-ordinators Dr Namita Srivastava and Madhvi Shakya.

Dr Srivastava spoke about the deliberations that took place during the short-term course. The participants applauded the course content of the short-term training programme.

MANIT Head of the department (HOD) Mathematics, Dr K R Pardasani, spoke about the forthcoming activities of the department. Madhvi Shakya proposed the vote of thanks.
