Manmohan asks Pak to control terrorism
The PM on Sunday night asserted that 'preconditions' for making progress in bilateral talks process was for Pak to firmly control terror.
Ahead of his maiden meeting with Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf in New York on September 24, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday night asserted that "preconditions" for making progress in the bilateral dialogue process was for Islamabad to firmly control terrorism.
He said both the countries should work for "mutually acceptable" solutions to complicated issues confronting them.
"I will convey to him (Musharraf) that our country is sincere in carrying forward this dialogue. Both sides recognize that we are dealing with complicated issues. It will take time. So we should be patient," Singh told reporters on board the Prime Minister's special aircraft "Tanjore" before arriving in London.
Singh, who meets Musharraf on September 24 on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session, said "both sides should work for mutually acceptable solutions."
Observing that his government was committed to carry forward the dialogue process, he said "We are committed to making progress on all elements of the composite dialogue."
