Prime Minister Manmohan Singh successfully underwent a minor surgical procedure on his left wrist on Sunday morning.

The operation on the left wrist, performed at the Army Hospital (Research and Referral), follows a similar procedure on his right wrist on Oct 13, 2005, an official release said.

"This completes the procedure advised by doctors to relieve pressure on a nerve near both wrists," it said.
"After the successful surgery, the Prime Minister has returned to his residence from where he will attend to his normal official duties. He will be attending office after two days' rest," the release added.
