Sunil Mittal, the chairman and managing director of Bharti Airtel will become executive chairman of the company.

In less than a month of the exit of Sanjay Kapoor, CEO, India and South Asia, the company on Tuesday informed stock exchanges that the new proposal will be considered by the board of directors of the company in its meeting on Friday.

Gopal Vittal will be appointed as an additional director in the board, and would be joint managing director.
