Even before the buyers could rate Manoviraj Khosla's show a success, designer pals Manish Malhotra and Rohit Bal had their eyes feasted on Manovraj's creations!

Naughty men with cowboy looks and girls with a coquettish charm floored the audience as they rocked the runway wearing Bangalore-based designer's Autumn-Winter line.

"I made my boys go back to the 60s. Being the bygone time, the look is retro but bindaas at the same time," says Manoviraj about his collection.

All that jazz

Denim never seemed as funky as it did with the designer's creation. The line ranged from denim jackets, pants, skirts and shirts. And what more, denim was not in its conventional blue! The creation were in soothing colours of olive green, printed whites, vivacious orange, hot pinks, purple and forest green.

Trendy club wear

Narrow fitting jackets, quilted tweeds (a grey coat with purple embroidery looked exquisite), chic micro denim skirts with crusted work and zipper jumpers. The line also saw a return of the patent leather pants, narrowed from the bottom, for men. Also, seen were pleated skirts in animal prints.

One could see hip-hugging (read really tight) jeans wear for men, which probably hinted at the metro sexual man!

While one line of jackets had 'OM' embossed on the skirts, others had sketches of women in thin embroidery that added to the spunk. Some jackets, that were a mix n match of denim, suede and chiffons, added a retro feel to the garments.

The focus of the collection was on men's wear and here the designer had a lot to offer. Denim suits, shirts, kurtas, shoes, hats and even belts were truly rocking.

Manish Malhotra, designer for Bollywood celebs, couldn't stop gushing over the designs. This is what he had to say: "I just loved the show. I think the separates were really well coordinated. I wouldn't mind picking up some jackets, but only if I could fit into them!"

Fabrics used were, of course, denims, suede, leather, linen and silks.

Accessories

: Funky headgears like denim, suede and silk hats were used. Also, pointed and gum boots never looked as energetic as they did with the designer's creations. Burning oranges, purple, blue denim, green and blood red. One could possibly see all possible weird colours in footwear.

Manoviraj's designs cost anything between 5,000 and 17, 000.

Verdict

: If one wants a rock star look in his wardrobe, then Manoviraj's creations are the way to go!
