A group of farmers have welcomed the Allahabad high court judgment on the acquisition of their land. According to them around 85% of farmers are satisfied with the court order.

Just adjacent to Itheda village, where around 150 petitioners held a panchayat to decide on challenging the judgment in the Supreme Court, a group of farmers hailed the ruling.
“Only 15% farmers whose land comes under the ceiling of 2,500 square meter are against the court order. The order is a historical one as it provides additional compensation and a share in developed land to farmers while saving the interests of the investors,” said Jagat Singh Yadav, one of the farmers.
