Maoists' arms dump found near Hyderabad

Andhra Pradesh Police have unearthed a huge arms and ammunition dump of Maoists.

Andhra Pradesh Police on Tuesday unearthed a huge arms and ammunition dump of Maoists near Hyderabad, police said.

A police team recovered 3,000 gelatin sticks, 16 claymore mines, two hand grenades and about 75 cartridges of different weapons at the dump located between Thippaiguda and Chittapur villages, about 45 km from Hyderabad, they said.

It was first time that an arms dump of Naxalites was found near the state capital in recent months, the police added.
