Maoist rebels killed a village leader and blew up three forest offices in two separate incidents in Orissa early on Sunday, police said.

A group of rebels shot dead former block chief Nanda Karatami near Sinapali village in Malkangiri district, about 700 km from Bhubaneswar.

Another group of rebels blew up three forest range offices and set ablaze two motor cycles in different places within the Simlipal Tiger Project area in Mayurbhanj district, 320 km from Bhubaneswar.
