The BJP's state unit president, P N Singh, also said a party delegation would call on the Governor later on Monday in view of the prevailing political situation in the state.

"We sought an appointment with the Governor on Monday...The BJP is ready for elections and is not interested in exploring any other possibility," Singh said.

After supporting the Koda-led UPA government for 23 months, JMM president Shibu Soren on Sunday night finally pulled the plug on the government following repeated threatening to do so for some time.
