Taking a zero-tolerance policy against those involved in Wednesday's violence that killed the general manager (HR), Maruti Suzuki India may sack some of its workers as it is no mood to work out a compromise, according to reports.

According to reports, there is no scope to retain workers who were involved in the assault and violence at the Manesar plant last week. The company has decided to have a zero-tolerance policy against those involved in Wednesday's rampage and arson.

Meanwhile, A mahapanchayat of 100 villages demanded a CBI inquiry into the killing of general manager (HR) of Maruti Suzuki in workers' violence at the Manesar plant in Haryana.

Former Gurgaon zila parishad chairman Rao Abhay Yadav, who presided over the mahapanchayat, said: "We don't have faith in the SIT and demand a CBI inquiry into the incident." The mahapanchayata came out strongly against the act of violence by workers.

"Those involved in the violence must be brought to book and sacked," he said.

On Monday, a local court issued arrest warrants against 12 workers, including some office bearers of the union. The state government also appointed criminal lawyer KTS Tulsi as special prosecutor for the trial.
