For the first time, officials of the district administration and Education department, carried out an extensive raid against the copying mafia. BSA Rajendra Singh blacklisted Rampal Trivedi Inter College, Gosaiganj, where mass copying was on during the morning shift of the examination. He recommended cancellation of the paper at that centre and relieved four invigilators from duty. One dozen copycats were also held from this centre.

The moment his squad reached the centre, examinees started throwing away chits which they were carrying with them. It was obvious that copying was going on in full swing at the center. Singh did not hesitate in recommending cancellation of paper there. On similar grounds yet another centre Florence Nightangle at Sitapur Road, was blacklisted.

The difference in the name of the examinee at Florence Nightangle highlighted the fact that large number of fake examinee are taking the Board examinations. This newspapers has been writing for quite some time about fake examinees taking the Board examination.

Meanwhile, a number of invigilators were removed from various centres. It included three at Bal Vidya Niketan, two at Ram Krishna Academy, two at Swatantra College.

Sources said the credit for today’s action went to the district administration that had mounted pressure on the Education department to crack the whip.

The decision to use video camera was taken after large-scale mass copying was reported from various centres. “We intend to cover at least 25 schools during the examination,” said NP Singh, ADM (E) while talking to this newspaper.
