Defending champion Amelie Mauresmo booked her place in the final of the Proximus Diamond Games with a 6-4 7-5 victory over fourth seed Nadia Petrova on Saturday.

Sunday's final will be the Australian Open champion's third in succession, after wins in Melbourne last month and Paris last week.

The French world number two, unbeaten in 14 matches, took the first set with a break in the ninth game before Petrova led 5-3.
However, the second seed fought back, taking the next four games without reply to advance to the final.
Mauresmo will now face either world number one Kim Clijsters or fifth seed Elena Dementieva who meet in the second semi-final later on Saturday.
