"Governor's observations are fully justified. He did not do anything wrong," said Mayawati while defending the Governor who in his address before two Houses of the State Legislature on May 21, 2007 had called the Mulayam regime unconstitutional. The Supreme Court's verdict disqualifying the 13-BSP MLAs had put a question mark on the formation of Mulayam government, she said adding that the Mulayam government became unconstitutional after its formation on August 27, 2003 following the SC's verdict.

and said the Samajwadi Party did not appear to have taken any lessons from its past mistakes. "They want to create the same atmosphere as prevailed during the previous regime," she said adding that instead of tendering his resignation Mulayam Singh Yadav continued to cling on to his chair. The acts of the SP leaders reflected on their frustration, she said adding that the June 2, 1995 incidents reflected the true face of the Samajwadi Party and its government. "Attempt was made even on my life," she said.
