"I want to make it clear that we will not have any alliance with other parties in Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Punjab," party chief Mayawati said.

Kick starting her party's preparations for Uttaranchal Assembly polls, Mayawati said BSP would try to get absolute majority in the hill state with the support of upper castes.

"If we get absolute majority, then it is alright, otherwise our party would try to retain the balance of power with itself by winning maximum number of seats," she said.

On whether she would have any post-poll alliance with Congress and BJP, Mayawati said she would answer this question at an appropriate time.

Mayawati, on a two-day visit to Uttaranchal, would address a state-level convention of the party office bearers in Haridwar on Wednesday.

The party would review its performance during the last four years, she said.

On the performance of UPA government, she said the rising inflation could trigger mid-term polls in the country.

Observing that her party was also in favour of providing all facilities to the upper castes, Mayawati said in case the centre brings legislation for the reservation to the upper castes poor people, her party would not oppose it.
