To lure Indian buyers with deep pockets, DaimlerChrysler on Wednesday launched its super luxury saloon 'Maybach' sporting an astronomical Rs 5 crore price tag.

Not to be outdone, Bentley has lined up 'Arnage R' and 'Continental GT' which will cost Rs 3 crore and Rs 1.6 crore respectively.

In a move which shows the depth and maturity of the Indian auto market, BMW is also toying with the idea to charm with super luxury saloon '7-Series'.
The 'Maybach' which is going to be cynosure of all eyes at the Auto Expo beginning on January 15, would be imported as a completely built unit, DaimlerChrysler CEO Hans Michael Huber said launching the niche car.
Bookings would begin from next month, he said.
